The project was managed end-to-end by a dedicated project management team, ensuring all stages of the fit-out and refurbishment were completed on time and within budget. The design focused on creating a bright, open, and functional retail space, incorporating the charity’s branding and maximising customer flow. A comprehensive health and safety plan was implemented from the outset. This included risk assessments, safe working practices, and strict adherence to all regulations.

The existing space required significantly partitioning adjustments to accommodate new retail zones. The team installed internal partitioning to create clearly defined spaces for retail display, storage and customer service. The first fix plumbing included installation of all necessary piping for sinks, toilets, and water supply lines. The team ensured all lines were properly connected and tested for leaks. Dry lining was applied to create smooth, level internal walls throughout the unit. This included taping and jointing to create seamless transitions between panels and ensure a professional finish that would be ready for decoration. Once this had been completed the interior walls were prepped and painted in the agreed colour palette. The chosen colours reflect the charity’s branding and create a welcoming and uplifting atmosphere for customers.

To meet the demands of the retail’s operation, additional electrical sockets were installed throughout the store, new lighting was installed to improve both the aesthetics and functionality of the store. All lights were tested to ensure proper operation and compliance with electrical safety regulations. External works included the repair of the tarmacadam surface to improve accessibility and create a safe environment. The external brickwork was repointed to address areas where the mortar had deteriorated. This work ensured the structural integrity of the building and improved the overall appearance.
