The flat roof at the Mind retail shop had shown signs of wear and tear and required a comprehensive approach to restore the roof’s function and extend its lifespan, so we took the necessary steps which covered a full roof repair, plywood overlay installation, and carried out finishing touches to ensure a durable and water-resistant solution.
The works included Timber Framing and Support Installation which was then followed by Plywood Decking Installation. This critical step was performed with precision to ensure the decking was properly secured to provide a stable foundation for the subsequent layers. Following this a venting layer was applied which helps promote air circulation and reduces the risk of moisture build-up. Additional to this layer an Underlay and Capping sheet was installed to provide additional protection. New facias and guttering were then installed along the perimeter which not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the building but also contributes to the roof’s durability.
Once the installation was complete, the entire roof system was carefully inspected for any signs of issues which could be then addressed before final approval and handover.
